Edible Island is staffed by a dedicated, tight-knit team of diverse professionals with many years experience across both health and retail sectors. They are all passionate about their community and offering people choices that make it easy to live more healthily and sustainably.

Steve Stewart – Owner & General Manager

Steve purchased Edible Island in 2015 and has been a changed man ever since. Steve is passionate about letting the talented people around him shine bright, and brings both care and humour to the workplace. Steve grew up in Powell River and has been in the Comox Valley since 2003. He has a BSc in forestry and is proudly the living example of not working in the field one studies. In his free (precious) time Steve likes nothing more than re-charging on the mountain bike trails in Cumberland or spending summer nights anchored at Tree Island with his family. Alynne Neault – Wellness Category Manager

Alynne moved to Vancouver from Manitoba in 2004. She really doesn’t miss those icy cold Manitoba winters! In 2019 Alynne made the jump to the Vancouver Island lifestyle and never looked back. She is passionate about local and ethical farming and being able to bring these values to her work in the health food industry. Prior to Edible Island, Alynne worked in purchasing for 24 years. She loves spending time outdoors, with her adorable grand-doggy Eddie, and with her family.

Craig Walker – Produce Manager

Craig grew up in Calgary and has been on Vancouver Island since 2015. He’s been passionate about the Health Food Industry since 2006 and loves having a career working with produce, especially connecting to the local organic farmers here in the Comox Valley. Craig enjoys everything to do with food and loves cooking and gardening. He appreciates working alongside like-minded people and is grateful that he gets to work in an industry he feels so passionate about.

Sita Huber – Nutritionist & Digital Marketing Manager

Sita is the behind the scenes content creator at Edible Island, having a wealth of nutrition and health knowledge she loves to share. Sita lived in Australia for many years where she attained a BHsc (Nutritional Medicine) and has worked across different areas of the health industry since 2008 - including writing for health publications such as Australian Natural Health, Nourish, Mind Body Green, Headspace, Smiling Mind, Lululemon Australia and more. She grew up in the Comox Valley and has fond early memories of buying licorice rope from Edible Island as a child. Sita returned to the Comox Valley in 2018 and has been working with Edible Island ever since.
